My Milkshake Brings all the Boys to the Yard

That's right - back from South Beach where the party never got started until I showed up. Sure I lasted about an hour each night before catching some z's, but up until then I was the "it" girl. Hey, lounging at the pool takes it out of a girl during the day. Also spent some time at the beach, but no pics because mommy forgot to take to the camera down and when daddy went to get it he was intercepted at the pool by a mojito. However, there are some nice shots of me at the pool, at the wedding, etc. I enjoyed dipping my toes in the water, but I could have done without the wave that caught me in the face. I came out of that with seaweed all over my legs - and a soggy diaper. I ended up going topless the rest of the day, which seemed to fit right in at the beach.

As far as enjoying the plane ride, except for the first ten minutes on each flight where I needed to announce my presence to all, I slept the whole time. I did hear them mumble something about "direct flights from now on" whatever that means.

Random Thoughts

As I enter the third month of my life, I would like to take the time to reflect on my many accomplishments. I have started to converse, I prefer the mornings to voice my opinion, my dreams, and my dislike of circles - funny how my mommy chose circles for my website. I have tried on numerous occasions to stand, feeling the rush of success, followed by the deflating realization that someone is holding me. I have discovered my hands, quite yummy. I also have noticed these two furry things running around the house. Still not sure what their purpose is, will have to do more investigating. I attended a Halloween soiree last night, and was amazed at all the little munchkins running around. I also had to endure a session of trying on clothes for Miami, I hate trying on clothes. Mommy seems a bit concerned about our future shopping sprees together. I'm looking forward to my first plane ride and beach visit, and will write more when I return.

Fall Update

Just got back from a road trip to Iowa - first time meeting the cousins and aunts and uncles out there. Besides waking up to eat, I slept the whole way there! The weather was gorgeous so I took walks with Jack (he's 2) and we got to see little ponies - mommy said I get a pony when I am 5 since she never got one.

Yesterday I had a doctors appointment, had to get my shots - no fun. They weighed and measured me and told mommy I was 24 inches (95-97%) and weighed 12 pounds 10 ounces (90%). No one reading this better be laughing! I have to go back for more shots in 2 months, I'm shooting for 50 pounds by then.

Growing up Gabby

7 weeks and 3 days into this life and I am already sleeping in 6 hour stretches at night. My mommy loves it! I'll wait another week, make sure she's used to it and then switch back to 2 hour blocks.

According to some I am a "well fed baby". The good thing about being well fed means I can already fit into some of my fantastic outfits, I'll be posting more pics with those in the next few days.

Beau (the big goofy dog I live with) likes hanging out in my room with me and seems very attentive to my cries - need to file that away for future manipulation. Egan (the cat that still weighs more then me) has attempted to jump on me twice when I am lying in the bed with mommy. Not sure if it's an "accident" or if there are alterior motives. Maybe he's jealous of my outfits, I'll make sure I dress him up when I get older.
